Gov. Malloy Announces Judicial Nominations
Posted: March 14, 2014 Filed under: General Law Leave a commentGovernor Malloy announced today that he is elevating two Superior Court judges to the Appellate Court and is nominating 16 attorneys to fill vacancies on the Superior Court.
The two Appellate Court nominees are Judge Eliot Prescott and Judge Raheem Mullins. I’ve never had the honor of appearing before Judge Mullins, but I know he enjoys great respect among his colleagues at the bar and on the bench. I’ve known Judge Prescott for many years. He’ll be a terrific addition to the Appellate Court.
Of the 16 Superior Court nominees, there are several whom I’ve known and respected for many years. Steve Ecker is one of the state’s leading appellate lawyers and has handled many significant cases. He is also a great guy. Likewise with Bob Nastri, against whom I tried my first jury case years ago. And Ingrid Moll can’t be beat. She is a fantastic lawyer and will be a great judge.
Congratulations to the new nominees!
